Welcome to Carista. We are an original fantasy roleplay forum set in the world of Carista -- a place where the eight different systems of control are divided across countries and oceans and blood. The systems of control are Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Ice, Plant, Health and Time -- all given to humanity in ages past.

Now, during a golden age throughout the kingdoms, rumors have come of the Loners discovering an ancient building deep underground that contains a legendary Relic that may hold the key to ultimate power or destruction. And so the race of kingdoms begin with the prize being a Relic of untold power...

Sera
Ruled by Citra Kusuma, Earth Citizen (NPC)
In an attempt to keep up with the ever advancing politics of the world, Sera has chosen a young man to take the place as King. However, it is quite obvious Citra Kusuma ia in no way made to be a leader. Ever since he became King, the rice trade with Unda has been attacked by pirates, the humanitarian trip to Terra has lost all funding, and, worst of all, the tensions with Ignis have just grown. After seeing what a single King has done to their lands, half the people in Sera wish to return to a council of rulers and increase the funding and manpower for the search of the Relic to gain power in the changing world while the other looks to assassinate the King and place their own in the new throne. Sera is at the brink of Civil War and it's only a matter of time before one side takes action.

Geography: A dense jungle, the kingdom of Sera has one of the most diverse groups of flora and fauna of all others. The entire continent is covered in the tropical forest, with rivers and lakes flowing free throughout the land. The climate is usually fairly mild, with the only changes being the excess of rain during the rainy season that lowers to a reasonable amount during the dry season.

Culture: Being the least advanced of all the kingdoms, Sera remains in a tribal age, despite the fact most other kingdoms have gone into a more medieval era of technology. The only big settlement in the kingdom is the capitol Seran. They instead choose to remain connected to nature, as seen by their cuisine and architecture. For their cuisine, they are still a hunter gatherer society, with a few centers of agriculture scattered about in the less forested parts of the continent. As for architecture, all buildings are made of wood, with grass being the most common style of roof, since there next to none stone quarries accessible without damaging the forests.

Politics: Influenced by the culture of the kingdom, Sera has a more tribal government, with the kingdom being ruled by a council. The kingdom has recently gained a king to keep up with global government, however he maintains little power. They currently have close relationships to the earth kingdom of Terra, while they have hostilities with Ignis.

Unique Attributes: Experience over skill; wisdom over power; heritage over inheritance -- these are ideals that are specific to the Kingdom of Sera and are seen as very unusual by the rest of Carista.

Religion: The people of Sera generally follow Elementalism.
