RP History:
Where to start...Let me see I was 16 the 1st time I RPed, but it wasn't on a computer. I used to play D&D and loved it. The way to really get into the game was to see what you wanted. So I played D&D for around five years so or then came to the forums.

I bounced from one site to another and then made a few of my own. The drama on these sites was crazy so I stopped RPing for a little while. That was about the time my daughter was born. I still love to RP and found myself wanting to RP some more. So I found another site, then another. It was like a drug for me.

After a few years I just had to have another site so I made one but it didn't work out to well because I lost internet and just now got it back. So almost two years with no RP.

Welcome to Carista! I'm Saeyer, a member of the Carista and Welcome Panels. The bulk of the site is run and regulated by different panels, composed of members that have applied for the positions; almost any position can be applied for after two consecutive months active on the site.

Pretty much all the links you might want/need are up in the right hand sidebar, or near the top of the forums on the main page. Also, if there's any bit of info you need/want that you can't find, please don't hesitate to ask - everyone's friendly and more than willing to help.

I started out with D&D too XD My brother in law ran games for me and my sister when we were about... 12&16? I was awful at it, but it was a ton of fun. In high school I got into World of Darkness which is a tabletop system I love infinitely more than D&D and still play with my friends, when we're in the same city long enough.

DnD is an awesome way to get into RPing. It's hard to really get into the actual character story in person though, hence the forums being an awesome place to get out more of your creative...juices <.< >.>

I am Delilah, founder of Carista and a member of the Carista Panel. Saeyer covered that stuff. Uhh. Yeah. OH! So, one of the Panels, the Welcome Panel, is super awesome because of their lovely mentor system. Every new member (like you!) gets a mentor to answer questions, help them out, and be all around good people. We like good people. I will PM you with your mentor here shortly!

Other than that, we are glad to have you here! If you ever get around to plotting in Ignis or Valetudo, that's where my boys are. My next one will be in Unda! Can't wait to get you out there and playing...xD!

Heyla, Necrorose! Lovely to see new faces -- I think you'll like it here. Everyone seems more or less sane (or if not, then at least insane in a pleasant way! :P)

I'm just introducing one of my roomies to D&D this last week. She's got to be about your age, but she's really into improv and I think she's elated to put a use to it! It's nice to have a range of personalities in games to spruce up the occasional rules lawyers and meta players... though honestly, I don't know that we have anything like that on Carista. It's pretty grand!

If you have any questions, pretty much everyone who's active loves to chatter... and heckit, if you want to bounce ideas around, we're all ears. Love seeing new characters popping up and getting played -- it's exciting to see more areas of Carista getting fleshed out!
